HasStudio Le'Ivrit in Hebrew means 'The Studio for Hebrew'. Our Hebrew program has been very successful in recent years, as part of the Miles Nadal JCC language program in Toronto. After more then 10 years of experience teaching Hebrew, it was time to upgrade and improve the program, in a rich, exciting and engaging learning experience. HasStudio Le’Ivrit has become the leading Hebrew language school in Canada and the USA, and now has a worldwide community of students who learn Hebrew with our renowned Zoom Hebrew courses.

Our teaching method ensures quick and systematic Hebrew reading, writing and speaking acquisition, towards the acquiring of the entire language. Our method is unique and proven, and is based on a systematic reconstruction of all the components of the language, in a way that enables a quick, efficient and simultaneous acquisition of both vocabulary and grammatical accuracy. Our easy-to-follow Hebrew courses give students of different levels and learning styles the ability to overcome their current level and take their Hebrew to the next level. Our method inspires love of the Hebrew language and culture, and helps you make learning Hebrew a habit.

We are native Hebrew speakers, and highly skilled, lifelong educators, with broad experience in teaching Hebrew, having taught Modern Hebrew at the University of Toronto, at JCC's around the GTA, and at Jewish schools. We offer three different programs:

  • Online courses in the student's free time and at their own pace, also intended for Zoom course students who are interested in additional supplementary material for practice and enrichment

  • One-on-one individual lessons on a variety of topics related to Hebrew and Judaism

Our Zoom courses are 10 sessions each, and we meet once a week for 90 minutes.

Yes! We have course times available for East Coast, West Coast and European time zones so you can learn Hebrew, and get to know people from different places!

Yes! We have a Beginner Hebrew Zoom course for children and B'nai Mitzvah. The course focuses on reading and writing Hebrew fluently and accurately, while learning new words, basic verbs, and composing simple sentences. The course is designed for children and adolescents age 10-16 with no Hebrew background or those who wish to refresh their basic Hebrew reading skills. The children's course is limited to 6 students, to enable effective learning and to give each student the opportunity to speak, ask questions and fully engage in the learning experience.

In addition, we offer one-on-one individual lessons on a variety of topics related to Hebrew and Judaism, tailored to the child's level and pace.

Each Zoom course is limited to 12 students, to enable effective learning and to give each student the opportunity to speak, ask questions and fully engage in the learning experience.

The price of the Zoom course is particularly attractive compared to other Hebrew courses on the Internet. The price of a 10-lesson course is $295 Canadian dollars, which is less than $30 for a 90-minute lesson. For our USA students, this price is even more attractive now with the difference in rates - around $20 USD per lesson.

Yes, the Zoom course requires a digital PDF textbook that contains a summary of each lesson including all the material learned during the lesson, as well as homework for practice. The digital PDF book should be purchased while registering for the course, and its price is $15 CAD. The purchase of these textbooks is strictly reserved for our students.
